Etcetera is derived from a Latin term meaning, “a number of unspecialized numbers of people or things." When used in the english language we often use etc at the end of a sentence to denote a list that can feel unworthy of explaining.
In therapy, our ultimate goal is to talk about the etcetera, to discuss the hardships and traumas in our lives that we often don’t talk about with other people. Whether that be difficulties in fitting in, LGBTQ+ identity, or mental health related problems, we want to walk with you through this beautifully complex process.
That is the mission of Etcetera Therapy Clinic, to hold a space for people to feel safe to share and process what they have encapsulated in their etcetera.
What is your etcetera?
From the Founder
I founded Etcetera Therapy Clinic to serve a place for LGBTQ+ Idahoans and other minorities to feel seen, heard, and safe while providing professional therapeutic services. As a member of this beautiful community, I know how difficult it has been to feel a sense of belonging and that our lives have meaning. It takes so much vulnerability to reach out for support, especially knowing we may be judged for our identity. I see your bravery and commend you for starting this journey. It is an honor to walk with you.
